From 14 August 2024, the counseling for NEET 2024 will begin with the registration process for the first round. The counseling dates were announced on 29 July by the counseling authority that is medical counseling coming t for NEET 2024 on the NEET UG portal. According to the notification, there will be four rounds that are scheduled till 30 October and that needs to be conducted for the counseling session of neet. The period for the counseling may extend more from October according to the vacant seats.
MCC has informed, “It is hereby informed that the NEET UG Counselling for the Academic session 2024 is expected to commence tentatively from 14th of August 2024.”
The counseling process helps the students to get medical seat allotment in the colleges in which the total number of seats available for BDS is 27868 and the number available for MBBS is 109170.
To get admission in the India quota of the BSc nursing seats or BDS or MBBS students had to take the counseling to get into the colleges. 85% of the counseling process for state quota seats is performed by the state medical counseling and admission authorities because this is the only authority that is responsible for conducting the counseling process. Those students who have God-qualifying cut-off marks will be eligible for medical counseling in 2024.

NEET Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an institute located in Delhi will be able to apply for these 85% seats
Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia
The institute offers 50 BDS seats, out of which 47 seats will be filled through the MCC NEET counselling. The remaining three seats fall under the institutional quota.
The institutional quota seats will be allotted to only those candidates who have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from JMI institutes
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
The institute reserves 50 per cent of its seats. The remaining 50 per cent will be filled through the MCC counselling of NEET.
Candidates who have studied at AMU for the past three years can opt for institutional quota.
Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
15% seats
All candidates who fulfil the basic eligibility criteria for NEET MCC counselling can apply for the seats at BHU. There is no special requirement for applying to this institute.
Government of India has taken initiative and implemented the reservation seats for OBC 27% and reservation for 10% for EWS and 15% for undergraduates. Once the candidate get sent the cut off of NEET UG they will be selected for the counselling for MBBS / BDS course in the deemed university.
