Bank of Baroda PO Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria 

Before applying for the post of Probationary Officer exam, candidates must ensure they fit into the following eligibility criteria. A candidate eligible for the post,

  • Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan or must be a Tibetan refugee or a Person of Indian Origin(PIO)
  • He/she must have attained a Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognised university or institution 
  • He/she must be of minimum 20 years age and must not exceed 28 years age limit 
  • He/she should have verbal and written proficiency of State or UT official languages 
  • He/she should have a working knowledge of computer systems

 

Subjects from various communities are eligible for age relaxation:

  • For SC/ST: up to 5 years
  • For OBC: up to 3 years 
  • For Ex-servicemen: up to 5 years 
  • For Widows/Divorced Women: up to 9 years

 

Bank of Baroda PO Recruitment 2024 Application Process

All candidates who wish to apply for the post of Probationary Officer must do so via online mode. The steps to fill the application form are listed below.

  • Visit the Bank of Baroda (BOB) official website at www.bankofbaroda.in
  • Register yourself using your name, phone number and email ID here
  • Login and fill the application form correctly 
  • Upload the documents as instructed 
  • You can pay the application fee by using your bank credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI
  • Click on Submit
  • Take a printout of your application form which will contain your registration number which will be later required to download your admit card 

 

Bank of Baroda PO Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

All candidates have to pay a minimal fee to apply for the IBPS PO exam.

For the general, OBC & EWS category the fee is ₹850 while the SC, ST & PH categories only have to pay an intimation charge of ₹175. The fee can be paid using credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI before the application window closes. 

Candidates must note that the payment of application fee can only be made using online banking methods such as debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI.

 

Bank of Baroda PO Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure

The Bank of Baroda (BOB) exam is conducted in three stages which consists of:

  1. A preliminary qualifying exam 
  2. A Mains Exam and,
  3. A final Interview

 

Preliminary Exam

  • The preliminary examination conducted by Bank of Baroda (BOB) PO is of qualifying nature
  • It is conducted in the online mode with a time boundation of 60 minutes 
  • The medium of the examination is either English or Hindi 
  • The exam consists of 100 questions carrying 1 mark each (+1)
  • There is also a negative marking for incorrect answers which is 1/4th of the marks per question (-0.25)
  • The exam consists of three sections namely English language, numerical ability, and reasoning ability 

 

Mains Exam

  • The main examination is also conducted by Bank of Baroda (BOB) in the online mode 
  • The duration of the examination however is increased two three hours 
  • The medium of examination remains the same i.e. either English or Hindi 
  • The paper consists of 155 questions that carry 225 marks 
  • The paper consists of five sections: 
  1. Reasoning and computer aptitude 
  2. English language 
  3. Data analysis and interpretation 
  4. General economy and banking awareness 
  5. English language (letter writing & essay)
  • The distribution of questions is such: 
  1. Reasoning and computer aptitude – 45
  2. English language and data analysis & interpretation – 35
  3. General economy and banking awareness – 40
  4. English language for letter writing and essay – 2
  •  out of the 225 marks, 200 marks are for the objective type questions while remaining 25 marks are for the letter writing an essay topics 
  • The marking scheme of the exam remains the same as preliminary examination

Interview 

The final phase of the exam consists of a face-to-face interview round which generally lasts for 15 to 20 minutes. This face carries 100 marks that is a huge decider in the selection process. Questions asked are related to the candidate’s background, current affairs, general awareness and relating to the banking sector. 

The candidates are advised to prepare for this stage holistically because the questions asked contain various dimensions and aspects.
