How to fill out the application form for Indian Navy Recruitment 2024 online, these are the following steps:

  • The official website of Join Indian Navy to fill out the application form for Indian Navy Recruitment 2024.
  • After that look for the recruitment option once you find it click on it.
  • Once you click the link, the official dashboard will open to fill out the application form.
  • Fill in your personal information such as name, address, mobile number, and email ID, and then click on register.
  • After registration, you will have to click on the login button to log in, and you need to enter the mobile number and email ID, the login ID, and password which you can find in your email sent which was sent just after you registered.
  • Then click on the login button, enter the ID password, and then fill out the form.
  • After filling in the information in the form, double-check the form and verify it by clicking on the verify button below.
  • After completing the form upload the photo, signature,  a required document, once uploaded click on the submit button.
  • After that your form is completed take a printout of it for future use.

Age — Minimum age requirement is 14 years and for hazardous jobs, it is 18 years as per  ‘The Apprentices Act 1961. So those candidates who are born on or before 02 May 2010 are eligible. There is no upper age restriction for apprenticeship training according to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Physical Standards–Candidates need to fulfill the minimum standards of physical fitness specified for apprenticeship training in Rule 4 of ‘The Apprenticeship Rules 1992’. 

Previous Training. Those Candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing apprenticeship training in the same trade in any organization are not eligible as per the Apprenticeship Act, of 1961.

 

Selection Process

 

Shortlisting of Candidates for Written Exam

Shortlisting candidates for call letters would be undertaken based on marks secured in SSC/ Matriculation and ITI, in a ratio of 70:30, and a merit list will be drawn up. Letters for appearing in the written examination will be sent to those applicants who were shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 against existing vacancies in each trade and category to maintain the reservation quota as per extant guidelines.

Written Examination.

The OMR-based written examination will comprise 50 MCQs which include 20 of Mathematics, 20 of General Science, 20 of General Knowledge, and 10 of English language with each question carrying one and a half (1½) marks will be conducted for one hour. There won’t be any negative marking.

Interview.

Candidates would be called for interview in the ratio of 1:2 against existing vacancies in each trade and category in the order of merit of written examination. The interview will also comprise verification of documents and oral tests as follows:-

Document Verification.

  • SSC/ Matriculation Certificate 
  • ITI Certificate 
  • Aadhar Card 
  • Cast Certificate (if applicable) 
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Ex-Serviceman/Armed Force Personnel Certificate (if applicable) 
  • NCC Certificate (if applicable)
  • Sports Certificates (if applicable)

(ii) Oral test. Those who were successful in document verification will be tested with technical skills in their respective trade. 

(iii) The final merit list will be prepared by considering the consolidated marks of the written examination and interview. 

(iv) Tie breakers will be the date of birth in the order of elder to younger followed by names of candidates in alphabetical order. 

(d) Medical Examination The first two reserve candidates from each trade and category shall also be called for medical examination to determine the availability of medically fit candidates to fill vacancies if any emerge during the selection process due to drop-outs or medical unfitness of selected candidates. Medically fit reserve candidates shall have the right to claim their engagement as apprentices in order of any dropout or medical unfitness.

(e)General behavior and discipline. Apprentices have to maintain strict

discipline during training as per the rules and regulations of the Apprentices

School / Naval Dockyard as well as rules laid down in the ‘Apprentices Act

1961’ as amended from time to time.

(f) Disassociation from politics. Apprentices are forbidden to join any

labor union or similar organization or participate in trade union activities. They are

not allowed to join any political activity.

(g) Sports and Physical Training. During the period of training, outdoor and indoor game facilities will be available to them in which they are supposed to take part.

(H) Police Verification Certificate. Candidates would be required to produce

a police verification certificate during joining. Failing which their candidature will be

rejected.
