Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
- Railway Group D : A candidate who wishes to apply for this post must have passed 10th grade from a recognised board
- Railway Group C : A candidate who wishes to apply for this post must have passed 12th grade from a recognised board
- NTPC : A candidate willing to apply for this post must have completed class 12th from a recognised board
- Loco Pilot : a candidate who wishes to apply for this post must have completed 10th grade from a recognised board and must withhold an ITI certificate.
How to apply for Indian Railway Recruitment 2024?

- Register yourself online by entering your name, mobile number & email ID
- During logging into your account use your login credentials sent to your phone number and email ID

- Make the fee payment online using any online banking mode such as debit card, credit card, internet banking or E-Challan

Application Fee
Each candidate has to make a payment while applying for the respective posts
- For general and OBC category the fee is ₹50
- For scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribes (SC), and physically handicapped (PH) people, the registration fee is ₹250
- For all the categories the fee that females have to pay is ₹250

Selection Procedure

Railway Group D
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – this includes various multiple type questions on subject such as mathematics, general knowledge, reasoning & general science.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – this is a test of a candidate’s physical capabilities. It includes lifting, carrying weights, running and other physical tests.
- Document Verification – candidates who qualify the CBT and PET testing proceed for document verification. If at the stage any document provided by the candidate is found to be false their candidature is canceled.

Railway Group C consists of technical and non technical positions such as junior engineers and technicians. The selection process for this post involves
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – in this test a candidate is tested for technical knowledge and other non technical aspects.
- Skill/Typing Test – the typing skills of a candidate is tested in the form of a practical exam depending on the nature of the position they apply for.
- Document Verification – candidates who qualify the CBT and Skill test proceed for document verification. If at the stage any document provided by the candidate is found to be false their candidature is canceled.

- Typing Skill Test/CBT – in this test candidates are tested for their typing skills and fluency in computer skills.

- First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) – this includes various multiple type questions on subjects such as mathematics, general knowledge, reasoning & general science.
- Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) – the second stage Computer Based test, tests the technical knowledge of the candidate.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test – this test is mandatory for all candidates apply for loco pilot.
- Document Verification – candidates who have qualified All the above three tests undergo document verification.
