The MoHFW has informed the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) to revise the cut-off for the NEET MDS and reduce the percentile of qualification. New Cut-off Range After The Revision
It is confirmed that the cutoff range for the MDS admission is going to be decreased by 21.692. It is believed that it is going to make a huge impact on the admission criteria. Earlier, the cut-off range for the general aspirants and the EWS aspirants was 50 percentile and now by the order of MoHFW it is going to be revised and it will be brought down to 23.308 percentile.
EWS aspirants who are PWD used to have the cut-off for MDS as 50 percentile but now revision has been done to make the Neet MDS revised cut-off for EWS as 28.308.
SC/ST and PWD used to have the minimum qualification percentile for MDS admission as 40. But, now it has been reformed to 18.308.
NEET MDS revised cutoff was necessary because many NEET aspirants in India dream of being an MDS doctor but due to the High cutoff percentile they are unable to qualify for it. Also, it has been reported that due to the high range, very few candidates appear for admission. Hence, the decision to revise the cutoff percentile is a good decision both for the governing body and as well as the aspiring doctors.
