Age limit: The candidates are required to be in the age range of 18-33. Following the norms of government. Certain relaxations are made. Candidates who were born 1991 and 2006 are eligible to apply for the role of Assistant Loco Pilot.

 

Medical requirements: The candidates should have medical fitness. Based on the notification from RRB, the candidates should have clear vision and pass the medical standards. RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 Selection process

Computer-Based Test 1: The first phase of the written examination is computer-based Test 1. The candidates are required to take a test for 75 marks, and the duration of the test is 60 minutes. The wrong answers are deducted with ⅓ marks. The candidate’s knowledge is tested with questions based on general knowledge, general science, mathematical operations, and logical reasoning. The candidates who pass this examination are shortlisted for the next phase. 

 

Computer-Based Test 2: The next phase is CBT 2. Which is conducted in two parts, Part A and Part B. In this test, the toughness of the questions will be increased, and candidates appearing for Part A will write the test for 100 marks within 90 minutes. The wrong answers are deducted with ⅓ marks. This consists of questions based on mathematics, logical reasoning, general science, and engineering. The part B test is the field of the candidate’s educational qualification, which will take place with 75 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The selection of this phase is carried out by considering the CBT part A marks and CBAT marks in the ratio of 70:30.
