SSC 2024 MTS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Multi-tasking Staff or Havaldar under the Staff Selection Commission have to fulfill the following educational and age criteria.
Educational Qualification
A candidate applying for this post must have completed 10th standard from a recognised central or state board
Age Criteria
A candidate willing to apply for the post of Multi-tasking Staff must be of minimum 18 years and must not exceed 25 years of age.
A candidate willing to apply for the post of Havaldar must be of minimum 18 years and must not exceed 27 years of age.

Computer Based Exam (CBE)
The first stage of SSC GD exam is a CBE
The number of questions and marks may vary but usually range between 100 to 200 marks
The questions asked are multiple choice questions (MCQs) from general knowledge, elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude, and basic knowledge of English and Hindi
Candidates must note that there is a negative marking for incorrect answers
Candidates who qualify stage 1 proceed to stage to which is a descriptive test
Descriptive Test
Qualified candidates of CBE test proceed for the medical examination. The descriptive test is a test of the language skills of a candidate.
The paper tests candidates for their essay/letter writing skills in English or any other language included in the 8th schedule of the constitution.
Document verification
Candidates who have cleared the CBE & Descriptive Test proceed for document verification. At the stage if any information provided by the candidate is found false, his/candidature will be deemed cancelled.
Candidates must note that final selection depends solely on the performance of candidates in CBE & Descriptive Test. Selected candidates are allotted different departments based on their merit.
