What is Live Train Running Status?
Live train running status shows you the real-time position of any Indian Railways train. You can see which station the train is currently at, how much delay it has, and the expected arrival time at each upcoming station. This information is sourced from Indian Railways' official tracking system.
CRWC provides live status tracking for all Indian Railways trains including Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, Duronto Express, Vande Bharat Express, Superfast, Mail, and Passenger trains.
How to Check Live Train Status on CRWC
- Step 1: Enter the 4 or 5 digit train number in the form above (e.g. 12951 for Mumbai Rajdhani)
- Step 2: Select the journey date (today's date is pre-filled)
- Step 3: Click "Track Train" to see real-time running status
You'll see every station on the route with scheduled vs actual arrival/departure times, delays in minutes, and which stations the train has already crossed.
Understanding the Status Indicators
- Blue dot — Train has departed from this station
- Orange dot — Train is currently at or near this station
- Empty dot — Upcoming station (not yet reached)
- On Time — No delay at this station
- 5 M — Slight delay (under 15 minutes)
- 30 M — Moderate delay (15-60 minutes)
- 120 M — Heavy delay (over 1 hour)

How often is the live status updated?
The data is fetched fresh from Indian Railways and cached for 3 minutes. Refresh the page after 3 minutes to get the latest position.
Can I check status for any date?
Yes — select the journey date when checking. For past dates, the system shows the recorded running history. For future dates, it may show the scheduled route without actual times.
What if the train number is wrong?
You'll see an error message. Double-check the train number — it should be 4 or 5 digits (e.g. 12951 for Mumbai Rajdhani). You can find train numbers on your ticket or on the CRWC train list page.
